    Extracting a soundtrack from an old game

    I recently took to various sites for help extracting a soundtrack from a childhood game, since I was unable to find it anywhere else on the internet (even after attempting to contact the composer). After some poking and prodding, we discovered that it is a .dat archive, the person helping me was unsure how to open it, does anyone else have any ideas? For reference, I did attempt recording the audio from in-game and stitching it together, it worked fine for some songs and far less than desirable for others.

    Here is the rough file structure of the game files (It’s a CD-Rom):
