Upgrade Question

Hi I am looking to upgrade my pc any suggestion would be appreciated Thanks in Advance. Here are my Specs:

AMD ryzen 5 3600 OC too 4.1

Gigabyte B450M DS3H WIFI-CF

DDR4 16GB 1497.MHz

Nvidia GTX 1660

Need anymore info just let me know

what is going to be the rigs main usage?
those specs are fine for normal use; Office, Photoshop, AutoCAD, digital editing and the like.
also decent for the average games.

if you are after a better gaming experience, just realise you are chasing the Holy Grail, and you’ll never get to, or afford to, reach what you dream of. there will be a trade off between expectations and affordability.

is is your storage medium. if not solid state, that would be a cheap, quick fix.

OK, so in theory all you should be looking at is better graphics card and better CPU.
the other components should suffice for now.
but it all depends on your budget and how much future-proofing you are aiming at.
then it’ll be a question of will you notice the performance improvement when compared to the time and cost outlaid.

Well then in your personal opinion what CPU and GPU would you recommend? I was a bit confused on looking at my motherboards secifications as to what CPUs is supports. I was looking in to maybe getting a 2060 super, or just waiting for the 3000s to come out.

sorry, but on the ‘which parts do you recommend’ questions, I don’t like giving out my preferences for just the reason being they are my choices.
only you know what yours are, and they should be the ones that suit your needs, and I have only 2 post that give any idea of what they are.

I could say get CPU xyz and GPU abc simply because I have found them to my liking in the past.
others will undoubtedly have tried the same parts and for whatever reasoning, didn’t like them.

this is where you do some research, check out the manufactures web site, look in product review forums and the like.

also, I’m an Intel fanboy, never went down the AMD path so I’m biased anyway - something you definitely don’t want anyone being when giving recommendations. (y)

looking at processor prices right now , they are way over priced so I’d try and hold off for about 6 months.
