    Games exit to desktop

    Not entirely sure what section it would go under but I am having issues when gaming as games always exit to desktop after a few minutes however league of legends stops responding, i can alt tab but task manager will not open and after a few seconds league closes and i can open task manager again.

    I have tried reinstalling windows multiple times, updated all my drivers, installed the latest bios, ran memtest86, prime95, valley benchmark and didnt get errors so im not sure what it could be.

    PC Specs:

    OS: Windows 10 Pro
    CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 3900x
    GPU: Gigabyte GeForce RTX 2070 Aorus Super
    Motherboard: ASUS ROG Strix X570-E Gaming
    RAM: G.Skills Trident Z GTZR 32GB DDR4 @ 3200MHz
    CPU Cooler: NZXT X63 Kraken
    PSU: Corsair RM850 Gold 850W
    SSD: Samsung 970 EVO Plus NVMe 1TB
    HDD: Seagate Barracuda 4TB
    Case: NZXT H510 Elite

      Not a gamer myself so not much help when it comes to FPS but over the years through helping people I have found that when it comes to online gaming there are two things that hinder gaming, a poor internet connection and browser security plug ins, sort them and you are usually good to go.

      Something for you to do to see how your present set up handles video when not online gaming;

      Use the free versions at the following links;

      Stress test your GPU with Furmark

      Check your FPS etc with SUPERPOSITION

      Download then run Speccy (free) and post the resultant url for us, details here, this will provide us with information about your computer hardware + any software that you have installed that may explain the present issue/s.

      To publish a Speccy profile to the Web:

      In Speccy, click File, and then click Publish Snapshot.

      In the Publish Snapshot dialog box, click Yes to enable Speccy to proceed.

      Speccy publishes the profile and displays a second Publish Snapshot. You can open the URL in your default browser, copy it to the clipboard, or close the dialog box.

          Confirms that your computer hardware is ok and that the problem is to do with your internet connection.

          Only thing of note in Speccy is that you are using an Apple Mobile Device Ethernet, have you tried removing the Apple device and connecting directly to the Ethernet port, if yes and the problem was the same, trying another browser and contacting your ISP are your best options.

              I can only make suggestions and it is entirely up to you if you wish to try them or not, disconnecting the Apple device from the computer will take a matter of minutes so if it rules the device in or out as the cause it makes sense to try it imho.

                  That`s one thing off the checklist then, have you tried another browser yet, something else to check is that you preferred browser is set as the default.

                  Download MiniToolBox and save the file to the Desktop.

                  Close the browser and run the tool, check the following options;

                  Flush DNS
                  List last 10 Event Viewer Errors
                  List Installed Programs
                  List Devices (Only Problems)
                  List Users, Partitions and Memory size

                  Click on Go.

                  Post the resulting log in your next reply for us.

                      You have or have had problems with the following;

                      The Apple adaptor.

                      The ASUS ROG software.

                      The ASUS update checker.

                      The Edge browsr.

                      Discored.

                      Internet Exploree.

                      The common denominator in all of the above is your internet connection.

                      What was the computer being used for when it crashed while the Apple adaptor was not connected to the computer and what type of crash was it as in did you get a black screen, system hang or a restart etc.

                        I was playing league of legends when the crash happened, league of legends stopped responding and i could alt tab but could not open task manager to close it. After a few seconds it would close itself and i could open task manager again. Event viewer says its an application hang and a problem caused this program to stop interacting with Windows. However, games like GTA 5, Apex, TEKKEN 7 among others just close to desktop with no error and looking at problem report says they crash

                            As mentioned previously I am not a gamer but I am more than familiar with LoL and the issues associated with alt/tabbing, the internet is full of complaints, check for yourself here never seen anyone be able to fix this yet.

                            There is no history of any games crashing whatsoever.

                            Unless urgent can I ask that you do not double/multi post, I get up to 200 emails a day to read and there is nothing worse than being mid way through typing a reply but then having to stop to see what was added, it not only wastes our time but also keeps you waiting as well.
