    RDR2 - whole system freezes

    Hi,

so I’ve seen it was here many times, however I don’t think I have the same issue. I can play constantly for 3-4 hours and then game frezees, anything responds and gotta do a hard reboot. Sometimes the game freezes even after few minutes of gameplay. It always happens random and only while playing, never in cutscenes, menus, loading etc.

Three days ago, I moved the game from HDD to SSD and was able to play 5 hours constantly without any freeze. I usually played every day about 6 hours for three last days with any problem but yesterday, the game frozen again after 4 hours of gameplay. When I came back, the game frozen again in one hour.

Things I’ve tried to fix it:
    [ul]
[li]moved game from HDD to SSD[/li][li]reinstalled AMD Grahpic Drivers in safe mode[/li][li]removed 4GB RAM of my 12GB and left 8GB only[/li][li]HDD defrag[/li][li]disabled Steam overlay[/li][li]added RDR2 folder to exeptions in Kasperky[/li][li]verified game files integrity in Steam[/li][li]Open Hardware Monitor - saving log file with temps of GPU (temperatures, fan are normal)[/li][/ul]

    My PC specs:

    [ul]
    [li]WIN 10 64bit[/li][li]i5 2400 3.4Ghz[/li][li]AMD RX560 4GB[/li][li]12GB RAM[/li][li]ASUS P8H61-M LX3[/li][/ul]

RDR2 is the ONLY game I suffer the problem with system freeze. Other games work normal. I’m really desperated and dunno who I should contact. As R* support doesn’t respond, I’d like to ask you guys about some advice. Do you have any idea how can I fix it?

    Thanks :giggle:

    Hello

Have you checked the temps during these times of system freeze,or just prior to that? On that RDR2 game is everything up to date with the software?

I checked the log and found the time when it exactly crashed and everything was okay. Yes, RDR2 is up to date

        Hi,

Are you overclocking any components? Are you running Windows 10 version 2004? I would also try performing a clean boot in Windows and see if that helps.

Also set the computer’s power plan to high performance in the Control Panel as well.

It didn’t help, RDR2 frozen again after 3 hours of constant playing.

If you set the graphical options to a lower setting and lower the games resolution does that help with the stability of the game?
