    New PC can’t run games.

So I got a “new” PC for gaming, mostly fortnite and the like. It has not been able to run fortnite pretty much at all. Extreme lag, won’t even register when I push a key to move forward in most cases. I upgraded our internet, ran a test online to see if my pc had all the requirements to run it (I’ll post this if needed) which told me it has both minimum and recommended requirements, I did an internet speed test which showed <1ms ping, around 260mbps download speed and about 26mbps upload speed. My Xbox has pretty much the same and runs fine. I will link to the pc I have, I know it is rather outdated (I didn’t want to go all out on my first one) so maybe it just needs a few upgrades? If this is the case, what would you recommend? I am obviously not overly knowledgeable on hardware and the like, I can teach myself html at age 12 but this type of thing I still need to learn a bit more.

Also, I did get a cat6 Ethernet cable for a wired connection, it helped maybe a little but not enough.

        Hi,

Have you reset your BIOS back to default values to ensure you are not overclocking any components?

Are you using Windows 10 version 1909?

Have you tried setting the power plan to high performance in the control panel?
