My gaming is getting too hot!

    The specs

    I7 7700HQ 2.8GHZ

    128GB SSD

    1TB

    GTX 1070

    Windows 10

    120Hz

    15.6 inch monitor

    The Laptop = MSI GE63VR 7RF RAIDER

I use it to play Fortnite or Pubg or For Honor or DeadbyDaylight

When i put it on sports mode i can play any game at very good fps.

But the cpu is always 95 degree and the GPU is around 75-80.

Even if i put a fps limit of 30 and lower everything down to 0 graphics i still get 95 degrees.

At ultra settings everything still 95 degrees.

    What am i doing wrong?

When was the last time the system was cleaned?
What is the system sitting on and around?

Never cleaned, it’s a 2 year old laptop.
My laptop is on top of a laptop fan. The extra big fans that are supposed to help you cool down your pc.

Check to see if the fans are running on the display card.

            How old is the laptop?

When the system is in use the fans are spinning when it is under a load?

When and or if the do spin do you feel heat coming off the keyboard?

Do they make any sound like a ticking or squeaking?

As a precaution when was the last time your personal data was backup to an EXTERNAL drive?

Try preforming a clean boot and lets see how the system works.

What is Clean Boot State in Windows? How to perform Clean Boot? What is the difference between Safe Mode and Clean Boot State? This article will tell you!

When you run the games in Safe Mode what are the temp?

EDIT: Is there and or the system over clocked in any way?

By safe mode you mean Eco or Power saving. Well Cpu 70 gpu 50.
But the fps is so low, like 20-30 fps Rather than 120-140 fps.

No that is not safe mode that is power save mode of some sort. What were the results if clean boot?
