CPU hitting 95 degrees celcius when gaming

Hi guys, I’m fairly new to the PC scene I have a Ryzen 5 3600 processor and have just upgraded the stock fan to an artic 34 esports duo, when idle coretemp shows temperatures in the 40-60 region however whenever I run a CPU benchmark or an intensive game itregularly hits over 80 degrees, I’m wondering if this is down to poor installation however I have reinstalled it twice exactly as the Instructions show, the fan at the rear of the case is intake and the front is output if that helps at all, look forward to hearing from you

    Welcome to PCHF Devalore53,

The maximum safe thermal limit for the CPU is 95°C at which point the MB should shut the computer down to protect the CPU.

From where are you getting the temperature readings.

Should be the other way around, intake at the front and exhaust at the rear, commonly known as the pull - push cooling method.

Did you put clean off the old thermal paste and put new thermal paste when changing cooler?
