    New PC, Random Issues.

Not really sure where I should be posting this.. But hopefully this is fine. So I recently got my new PC, and for the most part it runs fine.
Though I’ve been having some issues.

My keyboard just having insane latency/not working at all at random intervals when playing games. Usually if I check task manager my Ethernet tab is spiking very high. Or the most recent one my GPU was over 60%. Not sure if that really matters but it’s all I’ve noticed so far. This has been the most frustrating issue so far. I made sure my drivers were updated and I used the keyboard on my old PC a lot and never had issues there.

My CPU is usually around 70% with only 1 game open. (and discord)

And I also feel as though my FPS should be higher than they are. (I run about 90 FPS on Overwatch, or any other shooter for that matter. Sometimes dipping down to 60 FPS and being stuck there for a while.)

Results of a userbenchmark test I did.

Screenshot by Lightshot Temperature while running benchmark peaked at 48c

If I missed anything just let me know and I’ll add it.

In order for others to assist please supply a speccy report as per instructions below.

Please go HERE and download the portable version of Speccy. Save it to somewhere you can find, locate the file and as it comes as a Zip file use your favorite unzip application to decompress it. Open the newly created folder and double left click Speccy.exe if you have a 32 bit system or Speccy64.exe if yours is 64bit. If you are not sure what your system is click HERE. This guide compiled by Gus.

Speccy will open and after a short wait will display a summary of your system specs.
    [ol]
[li]Click on the file menu.[/li][li]Then click Publish snapshot.[/li][/ol]

A dialogue box will ask you to confirm, select yes.

    Another dialogue box will open
    [ol]
    [li]Click Copy to Clipboard.[/li][li]Then click Close.[/li][/ol]

Now that your link has been copied please paste it into your next post. It should look something like the example below

BTW: once you have finished with speccy and no longer want it removing it is easy because it is a portable app with no install. Simply delete the downloaded file and folder you created when you decompressed it. Gone:thumbsup:

This is what my task manager tends to look like whenever my keyboard stops working, or has very bad input delay.
Not sure if it’s useful information but I figured I’d leave it here anyways.

Uhm? You guys asked for a speccy report, which I posted, along with a couple other screenshots, but no one ever replied to me after that. So not sure what you mean by updates?
The issues seem to still be persisting - seeing as I haven’t been able to find a solution myself. Though I did buy a new keyboard and the latency there hasn’t occured again, yet. Still need to test that more though.

I’d really love to know about boosting my FPS in games at this point. It really shouldn’t be this low with everything on the lowest settings.

first things I’d be doing is uninstalling software not essential.
                    you can always reload afterwards.

remove all ASUS and Razer stuff for starters.
and any game assistants like that AntiEasyCheat.
what was the last thing you installed before the keyboard and FPS issues?
is the keyboard USB or wireless?
                    have you tried another keyboard?

since the OS is only about a month old, probably won’t be a corruption thing.
but what about malware, have you scanned your PC for that?

I recently bought a new keyboard and I haven’t had the issue still.

As for the FPS issue, it was never any higher, but the thing is it shouldn’t be this low and I can’t figure out why it is. Considering I had nothing downloaded it shouldn’t be corruption or malware.
For deleting stuff like ASUS/Razer/Anticheat I’m not really sure where I’d start honestly. The anticheat thing is part of a game I play so I’m not sure if I could actually get rid of it.

if swapping the keyboard has stopped the problem - excellent.
but if you do want to, or don’t need them, you can uninstall those programs from Control Panel, Programs & Features.

as to FPS issues, not my area, I’ve not succumbed to the online PC gaming fraternity to such a depth that I need to worry about that aspect.

Can`t find the thread atm but recently helped another member with a performance/crashing issue and the solution was getting rid of the Razer keyboard and mouse that they were using.

Something else that I noticed in Speccy was that the RAM is only working in single channel mode which means that it is only working at 50% of what it is capable of, 1200MHz as opposed to 2400MHz, this will also be causing the high memory usage, this behaviour is normally caused by RAM being inserted in the wrong slot/s on the MB.

What slots on the MB do you have the RAM in, it should be in slots A2 and B2 which are the second and fourth slots away from the CPU.

                          Memory slots
                          Total memory slots: 4
                          Used memory slots: 2
                          Free memory slots: 2
                          Memory
                          Type: Unknown
                          Size: 16384 MBytes
                          [COLOR=rgb(226, 80, 65)]Channels #: Single
                          DRAM Frequency: 1197.1 MHz

                          Memory Usage: 23 %
