Laptop stutters and lags after factory reset

Recently, my laptop (Lenovo ideapad s410p) had broken and I was unable to open it. It was riddled with viruses (I used to crack games, i know i’m sorry) so my dad went to the computer shop and they factory reset my laptop and it’s working fine. Except that almost every game that I play (legit ones, not pirated) has low fps than it used to be.
I played skyrim a lot before my laptop broke and i’d get around 60 - 50 fps. Now It’s unplayable. I’d get 15 - 20 fps and the screen flickers and stutters on almost every game. Even simple games like garry’s mod on lowest graphics, i’d get 40 - 80 fps, but my mouse stutters and flickers a lot to the point that it’s unplayable. Everything else works fine except when i’m ingame. I’ve update ALL my drivers to the latest, i followed youtube videos to gain fps but all of that doesn’t work too. I get 10 - 15 fps on Roblox (lowest graphics).. And before this I’d easily get 60 fps on max graphics..

Operating System: Windows 10 Home Single Language 64-bit (10.0, Build 18362) (18362.19h1_release.190318-1202)
Processor: Intel(R) Core™ i5-4200U CPU @ 1.60GHz (4 CPUs), ~2.3GHz
Nvidia Geforce GT 720m
Memory: 4096MB RAM

EDIT: I also forgot to mention that just before my dad went to sent for the computer repair shop, A little bit of water got inside the laptop and I think they managed to fix it

Welcome to PCHF luffybakaa,

Download then run Speccy (free) and post the resultant url for us, details here, this will provide us with information about your computer hardware + any software that you have installed that may explain the present issue/s.

To publish a Speccy profile to the Web:

In Speccy, click File, and then click Publish Snapshot.

In the Publish Snapshot dialog box, click Yes to enable Speccy to proceed.

Speccy publishes the profile and displays a second Publish Snapshot. You can open the URL in your default browser, copy it to the clipboard, or close the dialog box.

We can see a couple of things in Speccy that will impact performance, I am not a gamer so have no idea as to what FPS you should get or you may have previously been able to achieve but looking at your notebook specs the only + that you have when it comes to the minimum system requirements required for the two main games that you mention is the fact that you have a 2GB dedicated video chip, something affecting the dedicated video chip performance could be what you are noticing, see notes from Speccy below;

Power Profile
Active power scheme: Balanced Because there is a dedicated GPU in the notebook you should change this setting to High Performance in the Windows Power Plan, Balanced is the recommended setting on many computers as High performance is a form of overclocking that can cause instability but in this instance the 2GB video chip could do with the extra power when you are gaming.

Hibernation: Enabled This is a useless setting that is known to cause issues, disable it “how to” below;

To disable Hibernation:

[ol]
[li]The first step is to run the command prompt as administrator. In Windows 10, you can do this by right clicking on the start menu and clicking “Command Prompt (Admin)”[/li][li]Type in “powercfg.exe /h off” without the quotes and press enter. If you typed it in correctly, the cursor will simply start at a new line asking for new input[/li][li]Now just exit out of command prompt[/li][/ol]
There are a couple of other things that need to be looked at namely high memory usage and the junkware that you have on the computer but for now just take care of the above and post back with an update for us.

Can I ask that you do not quote every reply, it really does not help any and just makes for unnecessary reading, thanks.

Apologies for the delay getting back to you.

High memory usage is still being reported which is bad at any time but because you only have a single 4GB stick that can only work in single channel the problem is worse, MBAM is known to cause such an issue so try uninstalling it to see if it helps;

Physical Memory
Memory Usage: 63 %

Running: Malwarebytes Service

Malwarebytes removal info here

You are low on free storage space on the C: drive/partition where Windows is installed, see explanation below why this is bad;

Partition 2
Partition ID: Disk #0, Partition #2
Disk Letter: C:
File System: NTFS
Volume Serial Number: 4237573D
Size: 107 GB
Used Space: 92 GB (86%)
Free Space: 14.9 GB (14%

For Windows to be able to run efficiently and to be able to update you need to have between 20 and 25% of the partition or drive available as free storage space at all times, if you don`t you risk Windows becoming corrupt or not being able to update which puts you at risk of malware attack.

Data only storage devices should not be allowed to get any lower than 10% of free storage space of the full capacity of the drive/partition on the drive, this also to avoid data corruption.

Please note that storage devices can physically fail if the amount of free storage space is allowed to drop below the required 10 or 20/25% minimum.

Uninstall as many unused programs, games, videos and music files as you can and get yourself a means of backing up to, post back when you have between 20 and 25% free storage on the C: drive/partition and we can go from there.
