Windows 10 update causing games to have terrible FPS drops?

I downloaded the new W10 update a month or so ago, I noticed games started dropping as low as 4 fps when I would usually be getting a stable 60. After continual speak with the manufacturer of my computer, rolling back versions, updating drivers, I’m still suffering from bad drops? All be it no as bad ones. Has anyone else had this problem/found a fix? (I know it’s not just the game because it happens on multiple) (And yes, my games are set to the optimal settings according to GeForce Experience)

    Thanks!

Sorry if this is in the wrong place, I’m new here and figures since it’s an issue with the operating system it might go here?

I hope so! The people who I paid to get help from can’t get their act together.

        Thanks for the comment!

Nope, completely stock Dell Inspiron 5680 desktop computer, it’s the version with the disk tray and I am using two HP 27f monitors running at 60 herz refresh rate.

which Win10 build are you on now?

not knowing the specifics of what has already been tried - I assume you have tried the latest GeForce drivers from both Nvidia and Microsoft?

it’s been more than a month, so rolling back to the previous build may no longer be an option, but see if it is.

and of course, keep in mind the ‘nuke it from space’ option if after so many hours of “try this, try that” you aren’t any closer.
big hammer I know, and no guarantee of success but you at least know you’re starting from a clean slate.

also, I’m not a gamer, so not really my area, that whole low FPS stuff.

Please download MiniToolBox and save it to your desktop. Run the program by right clicking on it and selecting Run as administrator. When the program opens select the following boxes:

                  Flush DNS
                  Report IE Proxy Settings
                  Reset IE Proxy Settings
                  Report FF Proxy Settings
                  Reset FF Proxy Settings
                  List content of Hosts
                  List IP Configuration
                  List Winsock Entries
List last 10 Event Viewer Errors
                  List Installed Programs
