    Gaming PC not performing well

    Turning here because I am stumped, my gaming PC is performing way lower than it should while gaming. My PC is Amazon.com with some changes. I upgraded to this graphics card Amazon.com replaced my drive with a Samsung 1TB SSD and added 8 more GB of RAM.

    I use my PC mainly for gaming and have seen a pretty large decline in performance with both Destiny 2 and PUBG. I am only getting around 30 fps and it dips lower often. I am not super familiar with PCs and have gotten some help here and there from friends, I have already done the following:

    -Cleaned the PC with canned air (this is done often)
    -Done a complete hard reset of my PC, reinstalling windows 10
    -I am not overclocking and my temperatures seem to be ok, when running a game and twitch the highest my GPU temp gets to is 70 C.
    -Went to a previous version of a graphics driver
    -uninstalled all graphic drivers and reistalled the latest ones
    -In game settings are all low, in Destiny I am running 1566/6052 MB, similiar in PUBG
    -I ran a gpu-z program and all of my #s matched what they should
    -While running a game some #s: gpu core clock 1860, gpu memory clock 2003.4 gpu temp 68, fan speed 26%, memory used 2447, task manager has my GPU % around the 70-80 range

    Any ideas out there?

        Can you post the brand and model name or number of the PSU for us, system builders are notorious for using junk to keep their costs down, allowing for your additional upgrades at the very bare minimum you should have a minimum of a 500W quality brand Bronze efficiency rated PSU.

          @VinceShiner the link you posted above is to a private google drive page that requires permission and has been removed. As this is a public forum can you simply quote the model number of your power supply and motherboard?

            My motherboard is a B350M Bazooka and my power supply is a EVGA 450W 80 plus bronze.

              Wouldn’t have been my choice of PSU but should be good enough for powering your hardware so we will look elsewhere, starting with testing your system offline, primarily the GPU, if you get good FPS during this test the issue could be with your internet connection letting you down when gaming online.

              Download and run Valley benchmark (free) from here

              Download then run Speccy (free) and post the resultant url for us, details here, this will provide us with information about your computer hardware + any software that you have installed that may explain the present issue/s.

              To publish a Speccy profile to the Web:
              In Speccy, click File, and then click Publish Snapshot.
              In the Publish Snapshot dialog box, click Yes to enable Speccy to proceed.
              Speccy publishes the profile and displays a second Publish Snapshot. You can open the URL in your default browser, copy it to the clipboard, or close the dialog box.

                The valley installation does not work for me. I get the following message: browser_x86.exe System Error The code execution cannot proceed because MSVCP100.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem. (it doesn’t)

                  What did you reinstall, was it the latest version of Visual C++

                  Two things of note in your Speccy report;

                  You have high memory usage for a computer that is not under any load.

                  The CPU Vcore - voltage is shown to be 1.456V if accurate, this will be damaging your CPU.

                  Both of the above can be caused by a weak/unstable power supply.

                  Can you restart the computer to access the BIOS, when in the BIOS check the voltage for both the CPU and RAM.

                  Once in Windows, open Task Manager, give it a moment or two while things settle down then check to see if anything is shown to be hogging the memory.

                    I downloaded the latest C++ mentioned above and recieved the same error, even after redownloading Valley.

                    BIOS checks:
                    CPU Core: 1.456
                    CPU VDDP 0.0
                    CPU NB .856

                    DRAM: 1.216

                    Attached are my task manager Memory looks after letting the PC run a bit with nothing else.

                      That voltage is way too high and the chances are that the CPU is being throttled back to prevent it from frying, try restoring the MBs default factory settings in the BIOS, re start the computer, access the BIOS and check to see if the voltage to the CPU has dropped.

                      Nothing hogging the RAM, can you do the following for us as well;

                      Select Start , and in the search box, enter Command Prompt. Press and hold (or right-click) Command Prompt (Desktop app) from the search results and select Run as administrator.
                      Enter DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth (note the spaces before each “/”).
                      Enter sfc /scannow (note the space between “sfc” and “/”).

                        I was unable to reset the BIOS in the system so reboot it by taking the battery out of the motherboard and then replacing.

                        CPU core voltage is now 1.2

                        Cleanup said the restore operation was succsessful and the other one found no integrity violations.

                        I’ve noticed a improvement after that, I’m in the 50s and 60s and less extreme frame drops as oppossed to the 30s I was at.
