Mass Effect: Andromeda, Various error resulting in game crash or freeze

Hello.

So i got some very big issues with MEA, and EA is unwilling to help me, claiming that it is a windows issue not a game issue.
So the diffrent problem i got so far is DirectX11 and/or GPU related, memory leak and Windows Event 1001 related.

i will now attached the most resent logs and screenshots that i have sent to EA, could you please help me so i can play this stupid game…

I have a tread on “Ask EA” where i have posted since April, here is the link: answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues/NOT-SOLVED-DirectX-12-Issue-crash/m-p/6739613#M17803

EDIT: The last picture is my system HW Config

If you are getting that error code there should be some crash dmps, can you check for and upload any that there may be;
1. Copy any dmp files from C:\Windows\Minidump onto the desktop.
2. Select all of them, right-click on one, and click on Send To> New Compressed (zipped) Folder.
3. Upload the zip folder using the Attach button, bottom left of the dialogue input box

Hello.
I don’t have any minidump i my windows directory.
then i see that i wrote wrong here, the event should be “error 141”
Event 1001 have suck in when i did a search on “error 141” (got a hit where someone said it wan like an even 1001).
I saw that in Performance monitor but there is not a “bucket ID” attached to it so…

Are crash dmps enabled on your computer.

Have you had any BSOD/Stop codes at all.

Can be software or hardware related (a bad PSU is quite common).

What is the brand and model name or number of your PSU.

Download then run Speccy (free) and post the resultant url for us, details here, this will provide us with information about your computer hardware + any software that you have installed that may explain the present issue/s.

To publish a Speccy profile to the Web:

In Speccy, click File, and then click Publish Snapshot.

In the Publish Snapshot dialog box, click Yes to enable Speccy to proceed.

Speccy publishes the profile and displays a second Publish Snapshot. You can open the URL in your default browser, copy it to the clipboard, or close the dialog box.

I haven’t disabled them, can you tell me were to find that option and i will look.
the only error i get is the DirectX error and then the game CTD. Otherwise it’s just freezes and you have to “kill” the task in taskmanager.

It is a “Corsair builder series cx 750w”

I will however update my bios now to the latest version, since that can be a reason for my RADAR_PRE_LEAK_64.

Never suggested that you had, they are not enabled by default, you need to enable them when you install Windows.

See how to create a Small memory dump info here

Your PSU should be ok for your hardware but for future reference, the CX range of PSUs are only entry level and are best suited for basic desktops and HTPCs, where an add on video card is used you should go for a minimum of a Gold efficiency rated model such as the RM or new TX range.

It is a Reinstallation, i upgraded my system 4 weeks ago, New Motherboard, CPU and RAM, after that i did a reinstallation of windows 10.
My problems with MEA predates my system upgrade.

i tried MEA today, i was “ingame” less than a minute before this error (see attachment), nothing in MSinfo32 about “RADAR_PRE_LEAK”

I did what you suggested.

In case you have not seen it already here is a link to a thread regarding the same issue ( Thanks to colleague Rustys for providing the link (y)).

See replies 17, 24, 25 and 32 where someone post a workaround that helped them.

Based on you do not mention having the problem with any other game, what has been done already, the same problem with MEA being reported online by many folk, the errors that you are getting and your screenshot clearly showing that MEA is using up all of your VRAM I cannot see how EA cannot but admit that the problem is with their game and apparently brought about by a previous patch release.

Edit to add:

I will however update my bios now to the latest version, since that can be a reason for my RADAR_PRE_LEAK_64.

Can I ask where you were advised that a BIOS update could fix the RADAR_PRE_LEAK_64 error, updating the BIOS is always a last resort as doing so comes with risk + any BIOS update should only be used if the particular problem that you are having is on the list of fixes. RADAR is a Windows memory leak detection error and is in no way related to a MBs BIOS.

Yeah, i know about that tread, i posted the last post in that thread…

If EA admit the problem then they need to fix it, EA have removed all tech. support for MEA and every problem that gets reported to them now is flagged as a “hardware” problem or a problem with another application such as Windows or AV:s, now they just collect money on a faulty game and hope that the community will clean up there mess…

Every time i trie to contact EA for troubleshooting my game, i always get a sales rep on the other end, no tech. support at all.

I will try the suggestions on reply 17 of the link you posted, see if that helps with my new system…

Answer to “edit”: here in my tread over at answers.ea (link) see post 52

Looks like you have pretty much summed things up, it takes time and costs money putting things right and that eats into shareholders profits

If I may butt in here…

I am a HUGE ME fan (if you can’t tell by my avatar). However, there is one reason I refuse to play Andromeda: It SUCKS. It is not optimized for Windows, crashes a lot, has too many bugs. Before EA took over, ME was one of the greatest series of all time. I have 0 minutes on Andromeda, but 4000 hours of combined playtime on ME 1- 3.

The issues you are experiencing are not new, nor unknown. They are common and that’s why people don’t play Andromeda on anything but console.

I am actually a big BioWare fan…
I got the whole mass effect series and i love them, i aslo got the whole Dragon Age series that i also love.
So i bought MEA out of respect and support for the Mass Effect series, i didn’t realise how deep EA got it profit sucking nails in to BioWare…
I am and will always blame “Frostbite 3” game engine for my problem, they didn’t appear until after the 1.10 patch…

Well Well, i am off to play “Farming Simulator 17”, here you know what you get for your money…

Hello again…
So i have now tried suggestion 17
(1. go to Control Panel and uninstall Andromeda
2. Go to documents/bioware/mass effect andromeda/save and delete all the files labeled ‘profile’
3. reinstall game through Origins.)

And surprise surprise, that didn’t work…

Do you have any fix for the "RADAR_PRE_LEAK_64 " that EA says is the cause of my problems?

Based on all of the available info + the insight of jmarket one can safely say that you will not find a fix for this, the problem is with the games program itself and that is not something that anyone but EA can put right which is not going to happen with such a dated game (16 months since is release) there is simply no profit in it for them.
