    Cannot acces bios at all.

    Hi Guys, I am using a Xum gaming machine, from DR Memory. At the moment I want to put a new system on it, but it refuses to allow me to acess the Bios at all. I have used the usual buttons like F2 and the DEL button, to no avail. I did find out that if I took the battery out it would clear the Cmoss. Hope I got that right. Alas, for the life of me, I just could not find the battery at all. No problem if you cannot help. Thank you.

        What was the result? Nothing = continued to boot to OS? Any messages?

                I started to read up online to try and get an answer. It mentioned taking the battery out for a few seconds to reset the bios. I could not find the battery nor could I find any mention on the motherboard of cmoss. When I booted it up, it does not show anything. I will try and find the full specs, Not too sure I actually can. I know it had an i7 processor, a 1050 graphics card, 16 gig of Ram. If I can just get into the bios I might well be able to install a new system. Thank you anyway.

                    Sorry but I am a bit of a skeptic that prefers to be straight to the point, you go through an awful lot of computers for someone so senior and likewise most of the said computers have had you posting here asking for help with fixing them, one such a thread here had to be closed due to the hacking nature of the help request.

                    80 years of age and asking for help with a gaming computer :unsure:

                    Are you sourcing broken PCs and attempting to fix them so that you can sell them on.

                    You haven’t clearly explained what is going on, do you even get anything showing on the screen.

                        I am using Razor Blackwidow Mechanical Keyboard, Razon Krakon, headset, 16 gig ram. Just swapped to Steel series mouse from razor. Very surprised at the suggestion I might be fixing boards up to sell them. In a way I resent that. I would even suggest that you delete me from the Group if this was the case. Just because a Guy asks for a bit of help over the years, does not make him a Crook.

                            Where has anyone suggested that you were doing anything illegal.

                            You tell us that you are 80 years of age yet are forever fixing different computers and have a load of gaming kit, not something that your average 80 year old does or has is it :unsure:

                            We have forum rules and one of them is that we do not help with anything other than people’s personal computers;
                            1. PCHF can not and will not offer advice for business use or financial gain.

                            As an admin I have a duty to make sure that the forum is protected and that among other things is done by making sure that rules are not breached and I make no apology for applying the said rules.

                            Last but not least, you have skated all around everything that was mentioned and/or asked;

                            People asking for help with hacking an OS to bypass security protocols can hardly describe themselves as 100% honest can they.
