Artifacts/Glitch in new pc Bios, No GPU

Hello,

Motherboard: Gigabyte B650 Eagle AX
CPU: AMD 5 9600X
Cooler: Arctic Freezer 36
M2: WD Black SN770 2tb
RAM: Patriot Viper Venom 2x16 GB 6000Mhz CL30
PSU: Thermaltakke Toughpower GF3 - 850W

i build new pc and when i start it it shows glitches/ artifacts on bios. I have no windows yet. Also no GPU installed. I tried taking out Ram sticks and moving them to different slots one by one but it did not help. Also when i installed them on A1 or B1 slot that is not marked as install first bios did not start at all.
Bios is in version F33 the newest i coud get. Also there is no GPU installed becouse i did not buy one yet. And no windows or any system, pc just build yesterday but when i tried to launch windows installer same glitches were happening. Im using DP cable to connect monitor. And monitor and cable are good i use it with my old pc now and its working fine. I post short video and photo how it looks. Can anyone help with this ?

Welcome to PCHF Zellas,

Golden rule of system building is to always build outside of the case on a non conductive surface such as wooden table top or a piece of cardboard that is bigger than the MB, was this done.

The RAM is not appropriate for your CPU, AMD state here up to 5600MHz/MT/s and if you have EXPO/XMP enabled the RAM will get auto OCd past what the CPU can handle and the PC will become unstable.

That is normal as when using or testing using just the one stick of RAM it must be inserted into slot A2.

As a starting point do the below and get back to us;

The following checks require the computer case to be opened so take the following safety precautions 1st, disconnect the power cord from the wall socket, press the case power button for twenty seconds or so to get rid of any residual charge in the system, take anti static precautions before touching anything inside, you can do this by touching a bare metal part of the case or PSU.

Remove the side of the case etc.

Remove the CMOS battery from the MB.

Remove all RAM from the MB.

Check all internal connections from the PSU to the MB.

Check for any bared wires or loose screws etc.

Check that the cooler is securely attached of the CPU, if it looks okay leave it and do not be tempted to remove and remount it else you will be making a whole load more work for yourself.

Insert just the one stick of RAM in slot A2.

Put the CMOS battery back in, connect just the keyboard, screen to video port cable and then the power cord.

Power up the computer so that you can access the BIOS and once you are there leave the PC sitting as it is and post back with an update for us.

Yes i did build on a cardboard.

On dram status i can see 4800MT/s and xmp/expo disabled.

Cooler looks fine. I did everything you described. When bios booted i recived message that cmos was cleared. But bios version is still F33. I did not check in bios which was provided by manufacturer at start. I updated it with only pendrive and psu installed becouse i learned that was supposed to be best way. The glitching is still here. I checked both ram sticks put into A2 slot, no changes.

Clearing the CMOS does not change the version of BIOS it only clears any saved settings such as a bad overclock.

I was sure at first that clearing CMOS will revert to manufacturer bios version but after doing it i learned it is only to clear all changes.

I also found fresh bios update F34a and i applied it. It did not help.

What would be next step to do ?

Not sounding promising I`m afraid

Trying an alternative screen and PSU are about all that you have left, other than that it is down to removing and inspecting the CPU.

Unfortunately i have no alternative for screen and PSU. And something that is interesting when i connect it with HDMI cable i have no source connected message on screen and nothing shows up.

I did check Socket and CPU but it looks fine for me. Not that im expert.

When did you do this.

What are you using for a display, a dedicated computer screen or a TV.
