I need a larger PC case.

I bought a Strix 4090 OC and it doesn’t fit my case by half an inch. I really want a much bigger case as I had trouble mounting the rad in the top of my old Corsair Obsidian 650D case.

    My Specs:

    MOBO: ASUS Z790-E Gaming WiFi
    PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA 1600 T2 Titanium 1600W
CPU liquid Cooler: Corsair iCUE H115i ELITE CAPELLIX XT 280mm

There are no HDDs, and just a single SSD.

I would also like to return to a case with room for a bluray writer; if possible.

    Any help appreciated.

    Regards Matt.

Is an external blu-ray writer an option?

Typically with high performing gaming rigs I recommend as much mesh for airflow as I can. If a writer can be external/USB then that gives you a lot more options.

Thanx for the reply: I can buy an external drive, it’s just my case is too small for my 4090-OC, and my liquid cooler was a bugger to fit. I would like to top mount my rad, in fact, if it was top mounted, the 4090 would fit into my case just now. I did some research on cases a little while back, asked various online PC hardware shops for advice on which case to buy. PC cases seem to be tiny compared to the old days. I had a coolermaster stacker and an obsidian 650d, both were too small for the cooler to top mount.

That’s what I was hoping you would say.

I’m a huge fan of Fractal cases, something like the Meshify 2 meets all of your space criteria.

The Corsair 4000D also looks suitable, but the size constraints on it are going to be a bit tighter for your GPU/PSU.

Finally the Cooler Master TD500- although this looks as though you might need to front-mount your AIO.

These are just a few I picked out based on what I read, I do not have personal experience with any- but all of these brands are reputable enough I would purchase from one or the other.

It’s the 4000D I actually have, the rad needed fitted to the front and the fans won’t allow the 4090 to be installed.

I see, then maybe the 5000D is up your alley if you like the 4000D.
