What do you mean by switched tabs and what game was involved.

Some games do not like users alt - tabbing and they will crash, one of the most notorious games known for this is League of Legends and there is no fix.

Hi! I’m sorry for leaving with no response.

I did use MSI Afterburner and it kinda worked. However, I wonder if I could have only done that and not bought the new PSU… What are your thoughts on this? Was the other PSU that bad that could permanently damage my components?

If not, I think I’ll return this one and stay with the previous one,

I don’t know the brand and model name of my PSU but I attached a photo of its side note

You have a couple of problems going on but the most urgent is that PSU.

There is one thing that is possibly worse than using a known poor quality brand of PSU and that is using one that is unheard of, for brands of PSU to trust and brands to avoid please refer to the links in my sig.

Your GPU requires a minimum of a 650W Gold efficiency rated PSU from a proven brand such as the Corsair RM range or Seasonic, the present PSU is not even Bronze efficiency rated so should not be used anywhere near even an entry level GPU from years back.

Based on the additional drives you have a 750W minimum PSU should have been in use here.

Not a brand that I would ever use and the PSU that you have is so poor that it is rated as – Tier F • Replace immediately

Best thing that you can do is ask around to see if anyone you know has a PC with at least a 650W or above Gold efficiency rated PSU, if you are lucky enough to find such a PC have them test your GPU for you to make sure that the present PSU has not damaged it, the alternative is finding a local tech store that will do the test for you, some do it for free in the hope of making a sale but others charge a fee so please ensure that you ask first.

I only do 100% honest and for you to even ask for my most honest opinion is an insult not just to me but to PCHF as well, feel free to put the previous junk PSU and run MSI Afterburner, it may not happen right away but you will at some point end up with a smoking heap of nothing in front of you, you call.
