CPU and GPU utilisation drops when gaming

    Hello guys,

I have recently run into some issues regarding my machine. Originally I had been running a 1700x with a 2080ti and 16GB of 3200mhz RAM, with a 1TB M.2. On this one when the cpu utilisation reaches above 60-70% in any game, the utilisation for the gpu and cpu start dipping every couple of seconds for a few seconds causing unplayable fps stutters.

This lead me to believe that some of the components might be faulty as I had tried all of the software troubleshooting I could find.

Eventually I just purchased a B550M K to use with a 2700x and 32GB 3200 RAM. I also put a brand new 850w psu in there as well as a new SSD.

The problem persists on this new build with the stuttering happening quite frequently on higher end games.

At this point I have tried everything I can find online to troubleshoot this but nothing seems to work.

I was just wondering if anyone had any idea? I will attach some files and a screen shot of the afterburner monitor.

    Thanks very much!

    Hello Kalebae,

There are signs of BSOD in your log yet you make no mention of them in your OP.

850W sounds great but in reality unless the PSU is from a proven brand and has the required output and efficiency rating the claimed output is worthless.

Can you post the brand and model name or number of the power supply (PSU).

Download then run Speccy ( free ) and post the resultant url for us, details here, this will provide us with information about your computer hardware + any software that you have installed that may explain the present issue/s.

To publish a Speccy profile to the Web:

In Speccy, click File, and then click Publish Snapshot.

In the Publish Snapshot dialog box, click Yes to enable Speccy to proceed.

Speccy publishes the profile and displays a second Publish Snapshot. You can open the URL in your default browser, copy it to the clipboard, or close the dialog box.
