PC Died Overnight Please Help

Hello so I’m having some problems with my PC (Specs Below) and I could use some help, I built it about 2 years ago with all new parts, Everything was working fine until the PC was shutdown the other day. I tried to power the PC on the next day and there was no response from the PC except for a couple fans turning on for a few seconds and my watercooler lighting up, The PC then shuts off instantly and does not show any error codes on the mobo, There was no beeps but 2 lights do light up momentarily on the mobo, A red light labeled CPU and a orange light labeled B_Bios (Im not sure how to attach a picture). Everything was working fine prior to the shutdown, CPU was not overclocked and the PC was never used for gaming and the temps we’re always low and stable.

CPU= i9-9900k
Mobo= Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Master
GPU= Internal only
PSU= Cooler Master Masterwatt Lite 600w
RAM= 2×16gb
HDD= 4TB
SSD= 1TB, 32gb Intel Optane
CPU Cooler= ROG Ryujin 240

PC is a bit dirty but that shouldn’t be the issue lol

yes dust can be an issue. Get some can air and blow out the dust.. Make sure the pc is powered down unplug the pc and press the power button to rid the pc of any residual power.. I would advise not to use a brush to clean with.

Yeah it was just minor dust that was easily blown away, PC still will not boot.

I would be stripping the rig right down.
reassemble on a piece of cardboard, take the opportunity to check and clean each component.
only connect the parts needed to boot the PC, so only one drive, one stick of RSM, no DVD unit - that sort of thing.

have you checked the mobo manual for those lights?

what position is the BIOS_SW in? (page 25 in manual)
if the CPU status LED is on, the manual says the part is not working normally (page 24).

taking it apart, re-applying thermal paste, would be the logical first step.
otherwise you could be looking at CPU, or mobo, or PSU failure.

Yeah, I guess I’m going to have to pull it all apart and clean it… ugh lol. Anybody know how to easily clean a liquid cpu coolers radiator thing? I dont want to bend the thin metal strips. Also a red CPU light does turn on for a second along with a BIOS light, I really don’t think its a CPU issue though, I constantly checked voltage and temps and everything was working perfect for almost 4 years now, it was shutdown normally then would not boot the next morning. Im really hoping its just the PSU or dust. Is 99% isopropyl alcohol ok to wipe down dirty parts?

so the Red CPU LED comes on initially when booting then goes off?
if so, that should be fine and just part of the POST process.

yep, isopropyl is fine, but all I ever use is a microfibre cloth and a soft bristle artist’s brush.
the cans of compressed air are good for blowing out hard to reach places.
personally I find them too expensive as they don’t last long, plus I have a air compressor in the garage which does the job better.
just hold the fan blades still when blasting compressed air over them to avoid them exceeding their RPM’s.
and don’t forget to get into the PSU.

I have a radiator for my liquid CPU cooler and hitting that with compressed air is fine, as is a brush. especially if it’s pulled out of the rig and you have access to all sides.
