New PC build won’t turn on, but rgb turns on

I have a new pc build that turns on, but there’s no output, and none of the peripherals work either. Seems like none of the usb ports are working. They turn on for one second as the PC turns on, but then they stay off. Ram is lit up. I tried every part in my test bench, and every part works. Is it the motherboard maybe?

    Hello

Were the stand offs in the correct position so no grounding ? Give us you complete psu spec’s.

This looks like a prebuilt PC to me, have you contacted the manufacturer?

Any and all support should be covered under them - anything we do could void or affect your warranty.

It’s a custom built PC. No warranties or returns. I got what I got.

Interesting, never knew iBuyPower sold cases, or maybe you robbed it from a previous build.

Exactly what PSU do you have?

I replaced the build with a Corsair cx750m gold, and same result.

I bought a brand new power supply from Best Buy, and same result again.

From where was the MB obtained and was it guaranteed to be in 100% working order, same info for the CPU if you will.

What are the exact MB details as in the HP name, Hana and Higos 2 being two such examples.

The motherboard was bought off eBay. The seller told me they just tested it and it worked. Who knows if they were lying.

You missed providing the CPU information but no matter as your update tells us what we needed to know.

That MB should never have been sold/purchased without the appropriate CPU in the socket, it may well be socket AM4 but the HP MBs BIOS is only compatible with 5th generation Ryzen CPUs, see Processor upgrade information here
