    RAM compatability

    Hi

I’m currently looking to add a bit of RAM to my machine.

I have 2 x 16GB DDR4, 2400 MHz 1.2v in there. But since I don’t know a whole lot about compatability, I don’t know if it’s enough to just buy RAM with similar specs as mentioned above, or if there’s something more I need to pay attention to.

For reference I attached a screenshot from wmic MemoryChip get in the CMD

I’m not sure if I need to pay attention to DIMM or what “unbuffered” and “non-ECC” refers to when I look up RAM online.

Would something like this go with my specs?

I checked my memory form factor and it’s DIMM. So I guess the above linked SODIMM product isn’t compatible.
    But what about this?:

    Skill AEGIS - DDR4 - kit - 32 GB: 2 x 16 GB - DIMM 288-pin - 2400 MHz / PC4-19200 - CL17 - 1.2 V - unbuffered - non-ECC

Sorry but you have post on a tech forum asking for help but have provided zero information about your computer or it`s hardware, this makes it impossible for anyone to even hazard a guess as to what is going on.

Is the computer a custom build or brand name such as Dell or HP, if a brand name, provide the model name or series number (not serial) if a custom build post the brand and model name or number for the CPU and the MB, providing these details will enable folk to better help you.
