Yeah Peter I agree, but it was still kind of broken. Undervolting seems to be the way to go but I have that undervolting profile set up in MSi Afterburner and I don’t have it set to be applied at startup just incase it’s unstable. So sometimes I forget to apply it and end up using the GPU overclocked instead of undervolted. I actually made that mistake yesterday and it turns out replacing those thermal pads was a REALLY good idea. My thermals went from GPU temp of 65C to 57C, Hotspot temp of 90C to 72C and amazingly a Memory Junction temp of 110C to 70C. I tested it by running FurMark for an hour to test the stability of the newly fixed GPU and to test how well the new thermal pads work.

Yeah I ran furmark yesterday for an hour played gtav at 4k 60fps at ultra settings for about 2 1/2 hrs and I’ve been upscaling videos all day today. So far so good and temps look great.Comment
