Okay, the guy at the shop flashed the BIOS and installed the driver and it worked beautifully the night I brought it home, and then did the black screen again when I booted the next day.
The 1660 ti. It’s now on the Microsoft basic display adapter driver. Anything else and the screen goes black. Even though it worked the first night. I’ve tried reinstalling it, and doing the clean install too. Both times I got the black screen.
Okay, guys. I think it was an issue with the monitor. I just found an old one I’d forgotten about, hooked it up, installed the Nvidia driver and it seems to be working fine now. Thanks for your help!
