🦠Work one-on-one with our Malware Removal Specialists
Hello, I have a problem with my recently built PC. At first it turned on and everything worked, then I turned it off to manage the cables and reposition the GPU, and the monitor went blank when I turned it on. After an hour or so I tried again and this time the start button didn’t even work. I am very new to PC building.
Specs
CPU: i5-12400
GPU: MSI Ventus RTX 3060
Motherboard: Asus B660M Plus D-4 Wifi
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 2x8
PSU: EVGA has to 600W
Case: Aerocool Cylon RGB
remove the GPU and see if it works using the onboard graphics.
check there are no shorts, like the motherboard standoffs are all in correctly and seated into their motherboard holes.
obviously check all cables.
I’d even go as far as disassembling it all and re-building it on a piece of cardboard on a table, checking all the parts as you go.
get it working there, then rebuild back into the case.
long winded, yes, but you’ll get your experience up, plus hopefully find the fault.
feel free to take pictures and attach then if you need help with anything.
Thank you! I took the motherboard out of the case and ran it. It was just fine. I think something was shorting. Thanks for dealing with a newbie like me!
