Also if I have everything unplugged and off. Then plug the main power cable in and hit the rocker switch on PSU everything inside case power’s on before I even touch the main PC ‘power on’ button. Does this imply the PSU?
PC stays powered on after wondows shut down!?

Makes sense about the power supply killing the first GPU. Will look into upgrading before gaming on this again.Comment

Is there any reason why you will or cannot answer the warranty question or you need to continue posting multiple replies ?Comment

Because the company I dealt with the after care support was a nightmare trying to get hold of them and getting any form of response. I do not want to wait another month or more before I have a pc again. If its worth trying I would rather try it myself first.
Do you think it’s worth trying the PSU after that post about the rocker switch or will it not be the issue?Comment

If there is still warranty on the PC you have voided it the minute that you start tinkering, entirely up to you if you don`t mind that but we are obliged to make you aware of the fact.
Only two things will cause a PC to start up as soon as the wall switch has been put into the on position, a faulty switch and a short circuit, if it were the latter the hardware would be damaged and the PC not normally work at all
The test for checking the case switch involves disconnecting the case switches from the front panel header on the MB and then shorting out the + and - pins on the MB using either a small flat bladed screwdriver or a paperclip bent into a U shape. page ten of the MBs user manual here says that pins 6 and 8 are the relevant pins.Comment

Hi, have just looked into this and have disconnected the power switch completely and still boots up straight away. Shorting out the pins does power up the windows side of it. But PC still comes on straight away with the pwr switch connector on pins 6 and 8 removed completely from the MB.

Have just done this, powered up via pins 6 and 8, then shut down via windows and behaviour is still exactly the same done this a couple of times.Comment

100% rules out a software issue.
Remove the GPU from the PCI-E slot on the MB, reconnect the power cord, flick the switch on the wall socket to see if the PSU and internal cooling fan/s etc spin up without you having pressed the case power button or shorting the pins, we are not expecting the PC to display anything just seeing if the GPU is involved in the behaviour, if still the same, repeat the process but trying only one stick of RAM at a time.
Just a fyi, powering up and booting up are two different things, a PC has not booted until you are in Windows whereas what you described is happening with your PC is that something is powering up some but not all of the hardware.Comment

Hi sorry had to pop out for a bit. Still exactly the same, fans, lights etc powering up when gpu is removed, when RAM stick 1 is removed and when RAM stick 2 is removed.Comment

No problem, life must go on.
A power good signal problem is a strong possibility now, could be on the PSU or the MBs side and being that the PSU is of poor quality and needs replacing in any event that is what I suggest is replaced.
Is the GPU an Nvidea one or a third party such as ASUS, Gigabyte or MSI etc.Comment

Brilliant thanks so much for your help. I will do that next. The GPU is geforce rtx060 msi ventus2xComment
