Can someone tell me what RAM to buy. the pc only has 4 mb of Ram in 1 slot with another slot available. Its a ddr4 3400mhz

due to your skill set (nothing wrong with that, we all start somewhere), and the fact new memory can sometimes be hit and miss, your best bet would be to take the case into a computer store.
it’s normally a free service and they just charge for the memory.
they put a new stick of memory in while you wait and start the PC to see if it is compatible.
if not, they will change it while you are there.
