MOREL : if you must buy a splitter for this purpose ( or any other purpose ) make sure its compatible
‘sellers’ dont guarantee they will work because they dont have a clue how they are wired
having checked the one i got lumbered with it turns out that the keyboard side is
a complete open circuit regarding the data/clck of the keyboard . . pins 3/4 are common
( pwr ) and are wired correct so it lights up. . . nice ( pmsl )
i am going to make one as the previous diagram and keep my fingers x’d the motherboard split ps2 i/p is the same
. . i can post the wiring of the splitter i bought if anybody wants it
    thanks

will do . . what i’ve finished up with is a mini din splitter ( useful for some purpose no doubt ) . .
but not necessarily a pc ps2 splitter
‘sellers’ dont know the difference . . .thats the problem . . its a mini din plug split to 2 mini din skts
        sod the wiring
if your going to buy a splitter tell the seller what your using it for . . .if it doesn’t work get a refund
ebay is full of desperate sellers selling any old shite

ie pins 5 & 1 is the normal mouse and keyboard configuration for 2 ports
but using one port . . pins 2 and 6 should be the ’ split wiring ’ to the keyboard side of the skt
thus utilising 6 pins of the mini din plug . . £ to a penny pins 2 and 6 on the motherboard skt
go nowhere . . .this could be a mis sell issue for motherboard manufacturers that are using a
          legacy issue to sell motherboards
appologies to my motherboard the splitter is not fit for purpose after checking its integrity

i asked a seller if i could return a splitter if it didn’t work with ps2
he said " i am not a loaner service "
yes ebay is full of pricks

thats the only way a 6pin mini din can configured
                pin 1/5 ( for normal ps2 )
pin 1/5 2/6 ( to create a splitter ) . . the mouse/ keyboard clock and data is then separated
                3/4 are common (pwr)
                both skts ahould use pins1345
the first skt . . . goes to pins 1345 of the plug
the second . . . goes to pins 2346 of the
it would help if the manufactures offered a bit of info but i cant find anything
theres no info in the manual

                    i have made a splitter as per diagram ( post 30 )
i’ve tried it in 2 computers ( desktop ) and it works in both
please note the polarising lugs ( locator ) in the drawing are in the
wrong position and should be at the top of the plg / socket
will post any info if any i get from the mobo manufacturers
the splitter i bought off ebay was not fit for its advertised purpose ( ps2 splitter )
since the data/clk pins weren’t even connected on the keyboard skt
probably factory rejects sold cheap to ebay sellers with the opt out ’ might not work
with every computer’ ( should be ’ wont work in any computer ’ LMAO )
