Trying to install USB PCI-E Card

    Trying to install a Tiergrade PCI-E card ( Amazon.com ) to my MSI Z390-A Pro Motherboard ( Amazon.com: MSI Z390-A PRO LGA1151 (Intel 8th and 9th Gen) M.2 USB 3.1 Gen 2 DDR4 HDMI DP CFX Dual Gigabit LAN ATX Z390 Gaming Motherboard : Electronics ).

Everything fits fine, but it’s still not working. I am unsure if I am connecting the power cord of the computer to the SATA power port of the card properly? Photos below show where I have everything plugged in. Please help!

    Hello

This looks like you are drawing power from the mobo?

How I have it attached in the photo, yes. Unless it’s supposed to draw power from elsewhere? The instruction manual says I need “to connect the power cord of the computer to the SATA power port of the card.” That’s what I’m stumped on.

It is being suggested that the card be powered by an external power source.. So do you have a molex cable from the psu that would fit the card cables?

FIGURED IT OUT! All I needed to do was plug it into the power supply ( Amazon.com )
