    What should I upgrade?

Hello everyone, I’m trying to update my pc so it can run games like COD Warzone, FiveM and RedM more smoodly.

    This my current build:

    CPU
    Intel Core i7 6800K @ 3.40GHz
    Broadwell-E/EP 14nm Technology
    RAM
    32,0GB Unknown @ 1066MHz (16-16-16-36) (G.Skill)
    Motherboard
    ASRock X99 Extreme4 (CPUSocket)
    Graphics
    SMBX2350 (1920x1080@60Hz)
2047MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 Ti (ZOTAC International)
    Storage
    223GB Kingston SHPM2280P2H/240G (SATA (SSD))
931GB TOSHIBA External USB 3.0 USB Device (USB (SATA) )
    Power
    RM650X Corsair

    I got a 700-1000€ budget, 2 days ago I went to a store and they told me to get this ;

MSI MPG X570 Gaming Pro Carbon WiFi + AMD Ryzen 7 3700X
MSI RTX 3070 SUPRIM or AMD Radeon RX 6800XT

I’m not sure if I should because I’m not into builds and this will be the 1st I will build by myself so that’s why I’m asking you guys for help.

Thanks alot and good night everyone.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but what the store appear to have failed to advise you of is that if you were to purchase the above you would also need to purchase the following, a new Windows 10 licence key, new RAM and a new PSU, these items will cost you in excess of €300.

        Hi,

The video card alone will be €800-900 so there is no way you’ll be able to upgrade to those parts with your current budget.

You can get that motherboard and CPU but I would keep your current Nvidia video card and wait for prices to drop and upgrade the video card at a later date.

Ye I saw the prices are really high rn but the website where I’m buying the stuff the card is 580€ but I only recieve it on july 2021 the same for the motherboard and CPU.
If I get the card do I need to upgrade my power supply or 650 is enough for everything?

This is just asking for trouble, I will never be able to understand why people are prepared to play Russian Roulette with their hardware by gambling on a PSU

Your current Corsair 650 Watt unit should be enough but as Phil mentioned don’t be using old junk power supplies as that is asking for trouble. Always use high quality known brand power supplies instead of cheap junk units otherwise you run the risk of your hardware getting damaged using low quality PSU’s.

What brand you recommend corsair, EVGA or Gigabyte for the PSU?
And ram is 16Go enough or 32 is a better go?

                    EVGA.

16GB in dual channel is fine for most users and you should only go for 32GB if the intended use will utilise it, the excess RAM will be unused otherwise.

I would be inclined to wait until nearer the time before parting with any money, doing an upgrade list now that cannot be fulfilled until July 2021 makes no sense tbh.
