I’m planning on buying a pc, and I’ve decided to opt for a prebuilt. I know little to nothing about PCs, but after scrolling through Amazon for a bit I saw this PC and thought that it seemed pretty good for the price. Can anyone with more PC experience or knowledge tell me whether or not it’s worth the price?
SkyTech Blaze II Gaming Computer PC Desktop – Ryzen 5 2600 6-Core 3.4 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 6G, 500G SSD, 16GB DDR4, RGB, AC WiFi, Windows 10 Home 64-bit Amazon.com
they don’t state the brand of power supply, memory or SSD - could be important.
and a 500 watt PSU is under-powered.
I would also add at least a 2TB HDD as your SSD storage will fill up really fast if loading more than a few games.
in short, it’s an average price for an average PC.
$869.99 + shipping costs for dated technology makes the computer overpriced to me, have you thought about purchasing your own parts and then paying a local tech or asking someone you know and trust to assemble the build for you, take a look here for what you can get for the same price, you will need to allow for the purchase of Windows 10 at circa $100, allowing for this you are still able to go for a 3rd gen Ryzen and have all named brand components in the build.
