    sound issues

    my new biuld pc sound works fine on speakers (external) but if i try to setup monitor sound just get nothing..i can see the bar moving in the sound mixer window etc but no sound comes out of the monitor speakers ..if I plug the hdmi cable into the tv I get sound straight away??

    Can you post the brand and model name or number of the monitor concerned.

        Suggestion, with your screen hooked up to a HDMI port on the computer/GPU try your headphones in the headphone port on the monitor then get back to us with an update.

        Reason why the above has been suggested is because I don`t think that your monitor has internal speakers and that the volume control that the monitor has is to control the earphones and HDMI source on the PC.

        Checked the monitor specs here and noticed the absence of any speaker specification, if there were onboard speakers you would see something like the following;

        Audio Features Stereo Speakers : 1.5W x 2 Stereo RMS

          hi plugwd headphones in ..and set sound to monitor and I get sound through headset..ok so it seems that the monitor has no speakers?? sorry to waist your time…
