Wanting to build computer 1st time

Hi guys, I am looking into buying a computer to build. My budget is about 300$ but I would prefer to build one for 200$ or less so I can still have some money leftover for buying music production gear. The computer needs to be able to run the music production software Maschine and needs to be able to hold my AMD Radeon 460 Windforce OC 4gb edition gpu (no supplemental power required) ~75 watt card )) I dont really know what other processors will work in comparison to the i5 and 64 bit that the maschine program needs to run. I hear AMD Athlon processors are still good and cheap so if there is anything that will be better than an i5 2400 at around 60$ price that keeps the mobo relatively cheap and leaves room for lots of cheap RAM, that would be great. Please post any ideas you have and lets discuss this!!

    Hello timmyxblhur,

If the GPU is the only part that you already have what you ask is not doable I`m afraid as Windows 10 alone will cost you almost $110 on its own.

Consider getting something refurbished, Newegg have plenty to choose from here

NB: If you do go the refurbished route two things to check, if the PSU will need to be upgraded for your GPU and if it does will a stock ATX type fit in the case.

What I plan to do is download a copy of windows 10 from Microsoft website and buy a license for around 30$. It would be really cheap

Please point me towards where you can get a legitimate Windows 10 product key for 30 bucks.

Windows aside what you are asking is still not possible, just a PSU will cost you $50.

Take a look at build costs at Logical Increments here a build described a “Destitute” costs $249 and does not include Windows.

https://www.g2a.com/microsoft-window...10000083914003 only 22$ there right now. Even though it says normally 50-60 I’ve never seen it cost more than 22$ in the past 2 years and I have used this website before, it’s totally legit

Thanks, took a look then some research and found that G2A is a grey market place pretty much like ebay or gumtree, they advertise things for sale on other peoples behalf and then receive a commission, there are loads of places like this but they don`t all guarantee your money back like G2A do.

            Is G2A Legit?

That all seems mostly correct on logical increments give or take a few dollars. Power supplies you can get for 30$ for like 500 watts not 50$. 1TB hard drives are cheaper too nowadays

You wont get a good quality PSU for less, most of my work comes from people cheaping out on the PSU and ending up frying most of their hardware.

Only three realistic brands to use, EVGA, Corsair and Seasonic and always Gold efficiency rated when there is a mid to high range GPU to be used.
