AM4 backplate too loose to mount non stock cooler

So I was trying to upgrade the cooler for my ryzen 3600 but the back-plate has proved too lose for anything but the stock wraith cooler (which has some kind of spring screws with pull the plate forwards) Ive read somewhere that it should be held on with glue but seen as my wraith has spring Im pretty sure the company that built it just didn’t bother, is there anything i can do to fix this as the temperatures im getting with my stock really arent great?

I’ve never seen a back plate that requires glue, maybe they exist but generally they use screws so you can replace them down the track.
i’ve seen a double side tape used but that’s just to keep the back plate lined up while you screw in together from the other side.
if yours is lose, it sounds like it was either not installed correctly or the wrong plate has been used with an incompatible heatsink.

i’d be getting a new fan unit, that way you’ll address the over heating problem as well as the lose fitting.

        Hi,

You can always install the AM4 Wraith Prism or Wraith Max CPU cooler as that will improve your CPU’s temperatures over the regular stock wraith cooler.

Hello, thank you for all the responses I’ve ordered a wraith prism as it is on offer and will see if that is any better, hopefully it will be being first party
