Pc i got for Christmas that doesn't work

so for Christmas i got a new pc, it includes:

    AMD Ryzen 7 3700x
    SSD 2TB 3100/3500 Pilot-E M.
Asus ROG STRIX b 450-F Gaming ( it does say AMD Ryzen 3000 ready)
    D432GB 3000-15 Vengeance LPX bkK
    Asro8GB D5 RX 580 Phantom Gaming D

Me and my father built it together and wanted to install windows but after starting it for the first time it was clear that there was a problem, the pretty old monitor i have stayed black and my gaming mouse & keyboard stayed black too (LEDs). But the Fan on the CPU started moving andthe LEDs on the motherbord lit up. I’ve tried putting the mouse & keyboard in every single USB Port on the motherboard, and i have tried to boot up the pc with the onboard graphic (which i later realized doesn’t exist on this CPU) and with the graphics card. I have also tried booting up the Pc with only RAM which also didn’t change anything. It generally doesn’t really seem to boot up, the LEDs on the button to start the pc and on the motherboard light up, the fan on the graphics card starts moving and the one on the cpu does too. But i can’t see anything as the monitor stays black.

Its three days after christmas and i haven’t even installed windows on my new pc, i am frustrated and i hope to find an answer here.

Also, i am pretty new to tom’s hardware and to building a pc so please forgive me if i forgot an important detail and please help me get my pc to work.

    Hello

Did you get a response back from Tom’s hardware yet.. It’s hard for us to give you advice, because it could be contradictory to what Tom’s have told you to do and screw up your pc.

A quick google search told me the b450 only supports 1st and 2nd gen AMDs up to 2700x.
Not sure how good those sites were as neither was the ASUS site as I’m on my phone at the moment and the site wasn’t easily fi am me the CPU specs.

@Bzenni getting advice at multiple forums can cause confusion and more problems. Please decide which forum you wish to continue at and provide the other with the courtesy of letting them know.
