    Just installed AMD R7 2700x

Ok all, need some help. I just installed my AMD R7 2700x onto my ASUS Prime x470-Pro motherboard. The CPU came with 2 cables; 1 to use with USB port on the MB and the other to use with RGB header port on the MB.

My question is do I use 1 cable or both cables?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

1 end of the cables connects to the heat sink/fan for the cpu. And the other ends are a 4 pin rgb connector and the other cable has a usb pin connector. Both ends connect to the mb.

Post a picture from further out so we can see the entire system.

Looking at the CPU fan, at the top is the power cable that is connected to the MB. At the bottom, you see 2 thin cables connected to the CPU fan. The installation instructions say that these are the LED RGB but doesn’t specify if both cables are to be used or just 1.

Have a look HERE If you’re not worried about controlling the lights just hook the fan up.

Excellent! Now next question, after I hook everything up and ready to power on, is there a specific order that I should be installing the software? The MB came with a CD, Blu-Ray drive came with a CD, MS Win10 Pro CD and GPU will have a CD.

There will be other software that I will be installing too but I would think I would want to install the software for the MB first then the OS and then everything else, correct?

              Or am I overthinking this?

DO NOT have any external stuff connected to the system.

                Operating System
                Motherboard Drives
Hardware Drives (some places state to install in a specific order other wise there are issues).
                [ul]
                [li]Chipset (motherboard drivers)[/li][li]Audio[/li][li]Video[/li][li]Network Interface Card (NIC)[/li][li]Wireless Network Card[/li][li]Bluetooth[/li][/ul]
                Then what ever form there.
