no signal to monitor but pc is powered On dell optiplex 7010mt

So i purchased a dell optilex 7010 MT which i upgraded by putting in a new 450watt power supply and purchased a rx 470 4g grapics card along with it. so i put every thing together and everything was working fine until one day my games kept crashing and so was some other apps as well. Then all of a sudden my pc just shut off so i clicked the power button and it turned on no blinks or sounds and fully powered on according to the power led BUT their was no signal at all to the monitor i tried different hdmi cables as well as a differnt monitor NOTHING so i plugged into the motherboard vga and still nothing. i unplugged the grapics card altogether it did not like it so i plugged it back in i checked the ram still nothing,.
    I NEED HELPPPPP PLease

Can you remove your graphics card, then plug a known good monitor with a known good cable, into the motherboard graphics port and reboot?

It is normal to get no video when the monitor is connected to the motherboard graphics port with a dedicated graphics card is fitted. The motherboard graphics are automatically disabled when a graphics card is fitted.

i mean the motherboard gave a beep code which translated to an error to a missings grapics card and i dont have an extra grapics card.

Can you reset the bios to default and try the above suggestion?

I do not have another graphics card to use to test but I have removed the cmos battery as a way of resetting the bios and that did not work.

Now can you remove the graphics card from the pc

Then plug the monitor cable into the motherboard graphics port

            Reboot and see what happens.

Reboot means turn your computer off, wait say 10 seconds, and turn it back on again.

The first PCI-E slot is normally the slot that should be used as it will be a x16 slot whereas a second slot may only be either x8 or x4.

What is the brand and model name or number of the PSU.

It is odd that you get error beeps when you remove the add on video card and hook up to one of the MBs video ports, this suggests that the onboard graphics have failed which is even more odd as they are integrated into the CPU.

The brand of the PSU is a rosewill 450watt 80 plus bronze power supply. does this mean my graphics card does not work because when I power it on the GpUs fans and lights turn on also does a 8x slot look like a slot that can hold a 16x gpu

Do you have a link to the exact model, Rosewill are not a good brand of PSU and it is unlikely that the PSU that you have is actually capable of producing the claimed 450W that a system that has a RX 470 4GB GPU requires.

A x8 PCI-E slot from the outside looks exactly the same as a PCI-E x16 slot.

I have purchased a pcie 16x expansion slot connector and hooked up the graphics card to the correct expansion slot and i got this light from the power button claiming thats its a “system board failure” according to the motherboard manul, is their some sort of way i could fix this without the need of buying a new board

Unfortunately not, the labour charges for diagnosing and even if possible repairing the board would rule it out as a viable option, any decent tech would come right out and tell you this rather than get your hopes up and subsequently lightening your wallet.
