New pc build

Greetings to all,

In the past I received some really great help from this forum, so here I am again

I recently decided to build from scratch a gaming PC for my brother, as a graduation gift from highschool.
I’ve already bought all the pieces:
Motherboard (micro ATX)
Intel Xeon x5675 CPU.
Rx 550 (4gb version) gpu
8 gigs of ddr3 ram
Cpu cooler
PC case
120 GB SSD
500 gb hdd (already used by him on a laptop)

I bought the PC case on Amazon, and thought was a good deal because it had a PSU included. Said psu “provides” 500w. The brand is Itek and it’s model Id (which the seller was incapable of providing) is itps500. The label does not specify if it’s 80+ of any kind. I doubt it is.

The cost of the case and psu together was very low. The case is good quality, but I’m not gonna attach anything to the PSU yet, because I doubt of its quality. If necessary, I’ll buy another one.
What do you guys suggest? Is the psu enough or junkyard material?

The motherboard is a x58 by a company called Huanan Zhi. I bought it after seeing several reviews by very good tech people on YouTube (yestech city for example)
The ram doesn’t really have a brand, but it came with the motherboard (same as cpu and CPU cooler)

The flag under your avatar says that you are in Italy (coincidentally to where googling Itek itps500 took me) but from you last thread I seem to recall that you were in Ohio, USA, also a coincidence, the advice from me here is the same as in your previous thread, measure the dimensions of the present PSU (do you have a ruler or tape measure yet ) and if compatible the PSU here

Ah yes I forgot to mention I bought the chassis/psu combo here in Italy with Amazon, and not from China

Also I recently moved to Italy from Ohio so that also explains the coincidences

So the PSU measures 3.25 x 6 x 5.5 inches. So technically the size is the same as the psu you suggested

I was looking on Newegg as well and kinda scowled when I saw that the prices drastically change when changing destination country. Oof.

Yes, Sorry for not coming back at ya.
Since my brother is graduating Friday, we’ll try building the PC on Sunday. For now we’ll try using the psu that was sent with the case, if it doesn’t work it won’t be too much of a big deal (I don’t think it can explode, can it?). Told him the worst we can expect is the monitor to now give any output if the psu is too weak. Regardless we will buy what you suggested shortly

I wouldn[ICODE]t trust the PSU as a doorstop let alone with any hardware, the final choice is yours at the end of the day and for our part it is on record here that it has been advised that the Itek itps 500 is junk so all that we can do is suggest that you wait until you have the appropriate PSU or if you don[/ICODE]t wait - good luck.

Wise decision (y)

The Itek itps 500 is from the P4 era and is so old that it does not even have a supplemental power dongle for an add on video card or the 2 X 4 pin ATX (8 pin) connector that most modern MBs now require.

Welp

Today my brother and I started building the PC

We started off with the motherboard and the cooler

This already stopped us because latching the cooler to the motherboard is incredibly difficult, and we almost risked breaking something

I’m already giving up on doing this on my own

I’ll take all the parts in a shop and have the experts build it for me. Idc how much that will cost
