What will I have to upgrade?

Hello, I have recently acquired some funds and am going to upgrade my PC. My PC is ok, but it struggles on large, open world games like GTA and Forza, and I cannot run my RTS’s very well either. I was wondering what I should upgrade, or at least upgrade first, maybe my graphics card? These are my specs so far:

8 GB RAM
GTX 1060 6GB graphics card
550 Watt power
Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3P motherboard
AMD FX-4300 Quad-core processor

What do you think needs replacing in order to run bigger games? Thanks.

The motherboard and cpu are getting on a bit and the 4300 amd chip is not really a good gaming choice. Updating those will require up to date to ddr4 memory as well. Sounds like its nearly time to update the lot, except video card, including a PSU with more reserve output.

Processor (CPU): AMD RYZEN 5 2600X 6-Core 3.6 GHz (4.2 GHz Max Boost) Socket AM4 95W YD260XBCAFBOX Desktop Processor.
Memory (RAM): G.SKILL Ripjaws 4 Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3200 (PC4 25600) Intel X99 Platform Extreme Performance Memory Model F4-3200C16D-8GRK.
Solid State Drive: SAMSUNG 860 EVO Series 2.5" 500GB SATA III V-NAND 3-bit MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) MZ-76E500B/AM.

You can keep the power supply, case and the video card so those are the components that you will need to change that I listed above.
