Need Help Parts for Gaming PC

I am looking to build a PC. This is my first time building one but I know someone who will help me build it. I have not done a whole lot of research yet but I am planning on researching more this week. The uses for it will be gaming, VR, and programming. I would like to keep it at or under $1500 USD but I can go up to $1800 USD if I need to. Below in my list of parts. Not sure if I need anything else to for it. I would like to add cd/dvd reader and burner. Also would like to know if the fans in the case would be enough to keep it cool or if I should get better ones? Forgot to add that I am planning on using 2 monitors.

Hi @Tactical Blankie and welcome to PCHF

For starters, get the Ryzen 7 2700X. You’ll need it for VR.

Next, switch out the board for one that says X470. You’ll need that too.

You’ll also want to add a M.2 drive

Looks better You don’t need an external drive, so you can save yourself $70

Could you tell me if they fans in the case will be enough to keep it cool? Also is the motherboard compatible with the RGB or do I need a separate controller?

You’ll have 3 fans with the case and 2 fans your liquid cooling, I think it should be sufficient. An exhaust fan at the back of the case would be good too, as shown in the pictures of the case.

As for the RGB, I’ve looked at the motherboard manual and it has connectors for POWER LED and HDD LED, so you shouldn’t need a separate controller.
