Wondering from what generation Nvidia GPU’s started supporting the NVenc codec through OBS and other streaming software.

I am building a dedicated streaming/video recording and editing machine with older hardware, so far the specs go as below
Core2Quad Q9400
8GB DDR2 RAM
Asus PQ5L Motherboard
GTX260

I am looking to upgrade the GPU to add NVenc support, I am only recording at 1080p30fps so I am simply looking for the earliest generation to support the codec.

Hi @bloader98 and Welcome to PCHF

It was introduced with the Kepler-based GeForce 600 series in March 2012. So really any card you buy today will have that capability.
