        What do you think about doing a ryzen 1600x/1600 build?

          Would work and for around the same price AMD Ryzen™ 5 1600X

          In case you are not aware, having six cores sounds great but if only for gaming they will not be utilised and the same for all four cores on a quad, only three cores are normally used but the more demanding that games are now getting the latter will definitely change to all four cores being utilised.

              Had to change the RAM as the specs say compatible with 2667MHz, new list here and CPU info here

              Will look to see if I can find any other info on RAM compatibility and get back to you.

              Edit to add: AMD only say;
              Max System Memory Speed
              2667MHz

              See here
