Pc won't boot

So I’ve got a new ssd I want to try installing Windows on as nothing else is working. But for some reason now when powering on the system it sits at the motherboards splash screen for several minutes before moving on to the black screen with a blinking cursor. A minute after that it displays the message please insert boot media. How can I get it to load the windows installation.

You have to boot your computer into BIOS setup menu and place the Windows Setup Media as a first boot device.

Hi Wyatt. If you have the option, see if you can access your motherboards boot menu and select the USB drive as the boot device and see if the system successfully boots to the Windows 10 install media.

I just tried this. I went into boot menu and selected the windows 10 media and it just leads me to the black screen with a cursor where it sits for a minute then it displays the message reboot and select proper boot device.

It worked once yesterday. It’s also the usb I initially used to instal Windows on this pc like a year ago.

Still not up and running yet but I can’t actually work on the pc right now I live in arizona and I’ve been evacuated from my home thanks to the Goodwin wild fire. Don’t know when I can go back.
