    Identification Help

So I bought a graphics card, bare bone and came with nothing but the card. I need to convert what I assume are molex cables, to a 6 pin. My power supply is capable of running it, I just need the proper conversion cable. If anybody could tell me what type I need, or even take it a step further and link me to somewhere selling it, would appreciate it very much.

Unless you are using a very low power GPU then it would definitely be advisable to invest in a power supply with the correctly rated connector.

      Hi HelpPlease.
Could you post all the information on the side of your Power Supply, so we can check what harness connectors came with your Power Supply.?
      Thanks.

If you don’t have a six pin PCI connector on your power supply, you should probably, as Gus already stated, buy a new PSU.
It’s not a good idea to use an adapter with your graphics card.
        You could ruin your card.

I appreciate the concern, very nice community, but I’ve already checked, and it should be fine. Have uploaded a picture of the power supply, if somebody could tell me what type of adapter I need to hook up to 6 pin, would appreciate.

Hi again. You need a molex to 6 pin adaptor like shown.
You can use a molex to 6pin adaptor only on cards drawing up to 75 watts.
If you card draws more, you will destroy your card as warned, using one of these adaptors.
If your card draws more, buy a new power supply, as Gus suggested.

That is OK, only 2 metal receivers on your molex plug. The yellow wire seen in the screenshot is +12vDC which is power for your card and the second metal receiver is earth. That"s all your card needs, to power up. Use the adaptor the same as @allheart55 (Cindy E) linked to.
Most computer shops keep them in stock. They are so cheap, even if it doesn’t work, is not a huge loss.
