Partial Rebuild on a budget

Hi Allan. Serial ATA means they are Sata Hard drives, which will come in handy when you get a new Rig.
You can’t sell it with any of your Hard Drives in, under any circumstance.
Even if you WIPE the drive, and format it, there is software which can still retrieve your information off that Drive.
Sell it without a Drive.
Those drives will come in very handy for storage.

Ah so I should pull my second too? I can’t ever remember using this HDD, but I do know that I’ve wiped this computer a couple of times (namely when my father got his mitts on it and sponged it with viruses and trojans and stopped any access at all).

Right I’ll pull that out too, Also, I think it’s safe to say I’ve given up on the partial rebuild! you guys have been a great help! I think this is turning a bit too much off topic so shall we end our little conversation here? XD

I would sell it as is, with both hard drives after clearing all personal information from it.
I sell used computers like this all of the time without issue.
You won’t be able to get much money for it without an intact hard drive with Windows installed on it.
The average person, purchasing a used computer, wants to have a working operating system, intact.
I wouldn’t really bother saving one of the hard drives, as after five years of use, I wouldn’t trust it even for storage.

If he reformats his drive, within Windows and reinstalls the operating system, he will be good to go.
