Heres my 2 cents on your build @phillpower2 . The components are nice enough, and the case looks allright. I may change the case though. It would be helpful to know the price of the MSI - GeForce GTX 1080 8GB DUKE OC as it isn’t listed. The price is great, I might be able to add a SSD for faster boot times, and I can now buy a really good monitor/peripherals, and save money to put towards games.
Low end gaming pc build - need help!

Originally posted by phillpower2Having 32GB of RAM is a total waste for your intended use of the computer, atm 8GB would be enough but having 16GB ready for games released in years to come is a sensible approach.

From memory I recall it as being over $500 but it is now sold out in most places, like I said previously, no point in settling on a parts list until you are ready to purchase else you will either end up paying over the odds or not get the exact parts you had lined up.
There is already a 250GB WD Blue SSD included in my example parts list.
Already explained in my reply #22

Not sure what video you watched but it is not accurate information.
Any RAM in your system will only run as fast as the CPU will allow it and any program that you are running will only use as much RAM as it needs and will only transfer data as fast as the program requires and as fast as the CPU can handle it, atm 8GB is sufficient for most games but some flight sims etc benefit from having 16GB available.Comment

I think since my pc isn’t extremely powerful, that I would use the highest rated one on pcpartpicker. Or perhaps water cooling like the next kraken.Comment

You may recall the following from my reply #22
Originally posted by phillpower2Your aftermarket cooler, a very important thing I must make you aware of, if you use it you will void your AMD CPU warranty, AMD are clear on this, see below;
This Limited Warranty shall be null and void if the AMD microprocessor which is the subject of this Limited Warranty is used with any heatsink/fan other than the one provided herewith.

Your Windows 10 is the DVD version but there is no DVD drive in your build, include one or purchase the USB thumb drive version instead.Comment
