Really don’t know if going back a few versions of Windows is the answer here, there seems to be a reluctance to embrace the latest O/S. Sure early Win 10 was dicky at best, just like every other version of Windows. Just like 7, and 8 I stay away from getting updates immediately and prefer others to do the test piloting.

Win 10 on my machines works far better than any Microsoft offering I’ve ever used. It is faster, and has a much better user experience, even on an old p35 chipset machine it gives a new lease of life. Further I can’t see the point of putting off Win 10 because it’s not going away any time soon. Have not found anything in either hardware or software that doesn’t work well with it. Also nice to attempt to keep up with technology. Customizing 10 to suit privacy concerns is also no big deal.

You asked previously about “Killer Networking” and to answer your question here I’m going to assume your motherboard has dual network ports. If I am correct in that assumption I can assure you you don’t need to install the HUGE driver for killer networking at all, just stick with the intel ( or whatever) regular port and install the driver for that, which is what I have done. You will have an error showing in device manager because there is no driver for the killer network, but as you know what the error is for there is no issue. Is Your board a Gigabyte?
