    VGA Adapter Nightmare

New PC. Receptacle for monitor cable is 9 pin female with female screw receptacles. Monitor cable is 15 pin male with male screws. Just spent a frustrating hour trying to find an adapter.

    Thank you.

That 9pin port is a serial port (RS-232) and NOT a video port.
Your video ports are those two Display Port ones.
If you monitor does not have a Display Port, you’ll need an adapter that convert 15pin VGA (aka D-SUB aka analogue) to DP but you’d be better off getting a monitor that has a DP option to utilise the advantages of a digital (with audio) signal, also has better resolution than VGA.
