Microphone not Working

It may sound like a non-windows related issue, but hear me out. My pc has been recently randomly disabling all of my devices at the same time, keyboard, mouse, mic, all at once for like 15 seconds, then it goes back on. I have no clue why but it has been really bothering me so I decided to look it up. A trusted member on a microsoft help forum helped someone that sounded like they were having a similar problem to me, and he told the guy to uninstall USB Root Hub, then restart your computer. So I did, and now my microphone isn’t working. It seems that this root hub thing is only attached to my mic, because when I disable it my mic loses all power too, when it’s on my mic is getting power, but not working/recieving any input at all.

So I have two questions for anyone that maybe can help me, how can I fix my mic first, and then how can I stop my computer from disabling all of my devices at random times? Thanks )

Hello

Download and post.

To post.

To publish a Speccy profile to the Web:

In Speccy, click File, and then click Publish Snapshot.

In the Publish Snapshot dialog box, click Yes to enable Speccy to proceed.

Speccy publishes the profile and displays a second Publish Snapshot. You can open the URL in your default browser, copy it to the clipboard, or close the dialog box.

Have you tried a different USB post for the Mic?

http://speccy.piriform.com/results/G...1NirCjt6mZo0aW Here’s that snapshot you asked for veeg. Yes I also have tried a different USB port for the mic, the port works perfectly fine with anything else I put in it except the mic, my computer doesn’t detect it being put in, it doesn’t make that sound when you connect a device.

I was able to get my mic working after messing with a couple of things, but i’d still like to know why all of why devices disconnect simutaniously and how to fix it.

first thing I would check is the power options.
disable anything that may turn off USB ports to save power.

for starters, I would turn off hibernation.
from an elevated command prompt, type powercfg -h off

then, let’s change the Power Plan to see if that helps.
go to Control Panel (view by icons), Power Options, change to High Performance.
or if (being a laptop) you only have Balanced, go into Change plan settings, Change advanced power settings, expand USB settings, change setting to Disabled.

and while in Control Panel, go to Device Manager, expand Universal Serial Bus controllers, double click each entry, if it has a Power Management tab, click that and untick Allow the computer to turn off this device.

let’s see if we get lucky!

These seem to have worked!!

After about 3 hours of using my stuff, it didnt disconnect once! It usually would have disconnected 3-4 times in an hour so it’s definetly done something. Thank you
