Hi guys
I have a master cooler tempest 27gpu monitor, the monitor is showing a black screen but you can see barely the menu options but it is just like a very faint white blob, does anybody know what this problem is? the blue circled part is where the menu options are.
what cable is being used to connect the screen to the PC?
have you tried other cables?
what port is being used - HMDI, DVI, DP or VGA?
have you tried other ports?
have you tried this monitor on another PC?
and you tried another monitor/screen/TV on this PC?
does this monitor connect to the motherboard graphics port or a 3rd party graphics card?
if add-on card, have you tried removing the card and cleaning its circuit board, contact pins and motherboard slot with a soft bristled brush?
This is how it is without being to connected to anything except power supply, and when connected to a PC.
I used the DP cable that came with the monitor to connect to PC
I have tried other cables.
DP port was being used.
Haven’t tried on another PC (not one available)
This is the only monitor I’ve used with my PC
It connects to the mobo graphics port.
does the mobo have another port to use, say HDMI or VGA?
and does the monitor have a matching port to use?
what is make/model/age of monitor - there will be a sticker on the back stating the manufacturing date?
temporarily getting your hands on another monitor will quickly tell you if that is to blame or not - friend, family, neighbour, or even borrow one from work?
