I got rid of a few other plugs on it and so far it seems to be going okay?
Suggests that the powerstrip was being overloaded, something that we would not be aware of as we have no idea at how many things you have plugged into the one outlet.
If you have a double wall socket, try using the two powerstrips, PC hardware on one and just the screens on the other.
