Water slipped on my desk, please help me

My cat slipped water on my desk and when I woke up I found out that water managed to get to the bottom of the computer case which is metallic and has a wide hole in it, when I turned on the PC and plugged the keyboard it started going insane (typing by itself, shutting down my PC when I press specific buttons like CAPSLOCK and END) and I don’t think water entered the keyboard because it was dry. I took the keyboard to my laptop and plugged it in and it functioned normally without facing any problem so I thought at this point the problem is in the PC. I went back to the PC and it was working normal without any problems at all but only and only when I plug the keyboard may it start going rogue. What can I do at this point to fix my computer, given the fact that the buttons that gives me access to BIOS settings which are in my case END doesn’t work on the launch of the computer, but when I press it when the PC loads up pressing it makes the computer shutdown as mentioned earlier. I require your assistance, please help me.

    Hello

If water was at the bottom of the case on the inside, it is a good probability that the water shorted out something on the mobo.. Either way water inside a pc is never a good thing..

talk about a perfect storm - liquid and animals near electronic gear - what could possibly go wrong!

is that keyboard PS/2 or USB?
if USB - cable or wireless?
have you tried plugging another keyboard in or the ‘damaged’ keyboard into another port?

but as veeg says - water and circuitry never play nice together.

Did you turn the computer on even with water in it?

Is this a desktop or laptop?

Any time electronics come into contact with water I would look at putting a fan on it for a few days and hoping you have dumb luck on your side.

Shorting and corrosion are both big issues when it comes to water and electronics,

Just to clarify, are the issues only present when the keyboard is plugged in?
